The only feature I really liked about the last site I found was an option to add people as your friends or as a favorite journal you enjoy reading, it would give you a separate updated list of the people you added so you'd know if they updated their journal instead of having to go check and be disappointed when they haven't.
I'd love it that can be added to codexed as well as the recently updated lists like dx had.
